Whoo-hoo!  This "just worked" in my NAT-T:client config quite nicely.  I am
now back to the issues surrounding the "can't get to sites" as this other
server shows the same problem as my lab server.

I'll see if I can sniff out a reason for this.  I'll also try the NAT-T:both
scenario tonight.
