I just posted a new 2.1.0 alpha 5 release. This build includes lots of 
fun new stuff. The DNS proxy daemon has seen a partial rewrite and the 
split DNS option no longer prevents the private adapter DNS settings 
from being applied and used. The new code that allows DNS settings to be 
configured while using direct adapter mode is also in this build. In 
short, there are no longer any limitations on what DNS settings will be 
used in a given circumstance, it should "just work". Last but not least, 
the virtual adapter MTU can now be specified in the general site 
configuration tab on all platforms. This should be very useful to anyone 
who has used firewall related trickery to avoid MTU related problems. As 
always, thanks to all who have been testing and providing feedback.
