[Vpn-help] No return communication

Client: Ubuntu 8.10 and Shrew soft 2.1.4

Gateway: Linksys RV042 Firmware 1.3.12.6  (latest from Linksys.com)

Followed the script from the Shrewsoft.com site for the linksys router.

when the client is run from the workstation, a tunnel is established.  
?This is verified from the log on the router.

However am not able to connect to nay thing through the gateway.  A 
windows machine is able to conect with same settings.

I have verified the settings on rp_filter from 
http://lists.shrew.net/mailman/htdig/vpn-help/2008-November/001827.html

Have sniffed on target network, and am not getting packets when ping is 
sent.

Any ideas/help greatly appreciated.
