[Vpn-help] Netgear Prosafe gateways

When trying to configure the Shrew client to connect to a Netgear gateway, there are a few gotcha's to the lower end models (that do not support 'mode config'). Without mode config, you cannot use 'ike config pull', so you have to disable the Auto configuration on the General tab, and manually assign a static IP address (as well as statically configure the Name Resolution and Policy tabs). Just make sure the IP address you use is not on the same subnet as the remote LAN, or it will not work properly. For instance, if the remote network is 10.0.0.0/24, give yourself an address in the 10.0.1.0/24 subnet, and create an Include policy on Policy tab for 10.0.0.0/24. The machines on the remote network will use the Netgear device as their default gateway, so the traffic will be routed fine.
