[Vpn-help] Problem with Netgear FVS318V3 and Windows 7

I was able to solve this problem. Stupidly, I was connecting within the
same subnet which seems to work on XP but not in Windows 7.
On our subnet, we actually have 2 routers (gateways), each with unique
external IP's. I was connecting from 1 external IP to another thinking
this would be ok but they ultimately lead to the same network so I was
trying to connect to the same network that I was connecting from. The 2
gateways were installed by my predecessor and I am wondering if this
even a good idea given that they are on the same subnet. The reason it
was done was for load balancing but I don't think it works the way it
was intended. We do not use the routers for DHCP it is handled by a
Win2K3 server and is able to hand out 2 gateway addresses. Each PC on
our network therefore has 2 gateway IP's. I am planning to replace the
2 FVS318 gateways with a single FVS336G because I am now having problems
connecting to anything past the VPN router. My theory is that because I
am connecting to the second VPN gateway, none of the PC's know how/where
to communicate with the VPN Client on the other end. Does anyone have
anything they can add? Is it really a good idea to have 2
gateways/routers on the same subnet?
Thanks
