Stefan,

I just did quite a bit of testing and saw no packets being emitted from 
any install program. Are you sure your host hasn't been infected with a 
virus or malware of some sort? The only application that makes a call 
out to port 80 is the Automatic Update check feature in the 2.2.0 alpha 
builds and that certainly isn't during install.
