Ricky,

I don't understand why you are 100% sure it is a client problem when 
both the Shrew Soft and the NetSafe client show the same behavior. With 
no logs to look at, my guess is that the Borderware device implements 
the DPD extension poorly which causes a DPD timeout. Have you tried 
disabling this option on the client to see if the connection stays up 
longer?
