One of the things to make sure is that your kernel is configured to forward
the packets coming in. For that, check that ip_forward flag is set to 1 in
/etc/sysctl.conf file and re-establish the tunnel

Now I have the following issue: after starting iked I see the following
message in the iked.log continuosly repeating:

!! : unable to connect to pfkey interface

Trying to connect to the vpn results in an extablished connection, but
without "connectivity".

I attached the iked.log in debug mode during the connection attempt.
