Figured it out, didn't have the hosts file setup correctly in the windows directory. We are still working on setting up a DNS/LDAP solution and using a hosts file as an intermediate solution. The default MTU worked fine.

Hi Gregg,
Have you tried to change the MTU in Shrew?

The casestudy.com<http://casestudy.com> VPN website had a great setup, found that the casestudy #127 worked. I could not get the example off the shrewsoft site to work at all.
I'm using a Windows 7 box to connect to the VPN. I now have a tunnel and I can ping my server and do a successful nslookup. Netstat says it's routing fine. However, I can't mount a share drive (SMB) from the linux RHEL5 box. I can do this normally inside the network without issue.
Any ideas on how to resolve this in the VPN client-side?

Not having any luck configuring a client with a SRX5308. Used the example for the FVS33x/FVX53x and got failure. Per a previous email thread I changed the client to ike config push on the General tab and got it to connect and get a tunnel enabled but no traffic is running through the tunnel.
Anyone have an idea on how to debug this and get a reliable connection or have an example that works?
-Thanks
