I also looked st the Adapter and Binding tab but the internet device was already the first in the list. I moved it down one then back to the first in the list and rebooted. I still can't get an internet connection even after a reboot.

If not then use the arrows on the right to move it to the top of the list. If using XP reboot the machine after making the change and see if your able to access the internet again.

Both products show a yellow triangle with an exclamation point which I'm assuming means the software is not working as expected.

(code 29) Click Troubleshoot to start the troubleshooter for this device." The troubleshooter says to uninstall the device, but that always fails saying it may be needed to boot the machine. I've tried rolling back the driver, but there is no previous driver on the system.

I tried to open two browsers (chrome and firefox) and got messages indicating there was no internet connection. I canceled the installation and saw some error screens flash up which I closed.

I uninstalled the Shrewsoft package, again saw several error messages about missing files, and rebooted when prompted. The system shut down and when it restarted, it went through the restart process several times. When it finally did come up, I logged in and tried the browsers again with the same "no internet" message.

Hi Brian,

When Shrew has had problems installing or uninstalling, I've had success
with installing a different version of Shrew, since the install process
removes any previous Shrew components and adapters.
