Unfortunately, I do not know what you mean.

What I do is I install the 'ike' package. I start the software through the icon. I import the profile that I listed in the first email. I click on connect. I input username and password. It connects but I have no connectivity through it.

I made an experiment - I created a Ubuntu LiveCD and tried to replicate the issue, and indeed Ubuntu suffers from it too. This means that the problem occurs in a perfectly clean Live CD environment too.
