based on its design I assume that the LANCOM client is just a re-branded
NCP client
(https://www.ncp-e.com/de/produkte/ipsec-vpn-client-suite.html), like
the Sophos Client is a re-branded NCP client. Maybe NCP works better for
you (regarding distribution) than LANCOM...

No I don't know of any others.
Cisco has a really good client, used to use the old client that came w/
our PIX, but it doesn't work on Win 7 64bit, so that is why I went with
Shrew.

500-1000 across 200-300 sites globally over the next 2-3 years. The
only two VPN clients I found that work for what I am doing are Shrew
Soft and Lancom. Lancom is difficult to work with as they only have
distribution in Europe; I need to able to have easy access to licensing
and support for global customers.

Any other VPN client software as good as Shrew Soft without going to
Cisco?

Hmmm. How big an environment?
I use it for about 15 people.
All work from home. Connecting to a Cisco RV320 currently. Will be
swapping that out for an ASA5510.
Using the standard version of Shrew
