have the shrewsoft VPN client set up to connect to a dialup VPN on a netscreen
firewall, using PSK and XAuth. This works fine. When connected via the VPN I
can ping a fileserver we have, and can also access its web config page.
However, any attempt to map it in windows gives a “Windows cannot find
\\....” error, even when using the IP address. <o:p></o:p></span></p>

the cmd window, I tried net use <a href="file:///\\IP_ADDRESS">\\IP_ADDRESS</a>

network name cannot be found”<o:p></o:p></span></p>

“ping IP_ADDRESS” works fine<o:p></o:p></span></p>

seems strange that I can pin and access the web interface, but not the share.
