I'm not sure it is worth trying 2.16 beta 4. I rebooted this morning
and the VPN Client no longer works. When attempting to connect, it
gets to the point of "bringing up tunnel..." and after about 20 seconds
or so, it returns the message "negotiation timeout occurred". Also, I
am back to the problem of not able to locate DNS. However, if I
disable "ShrewSoft DNS Proxy Daemon" I can resolve DNS. <br>
<br>
So at this point, I can access the internet but the VPN Client is not
functioning. <br>

Any suggestions?<br>

I experienced the same issue with 2.1.6 beta 6. I was previously
running 2.1.6 beta 4 and upgrded to "beta 6" 2 days ago. Following a
reboot today, my machine could not reach DNSservers. I uninstalled
2.1.6 beta 6 and was instantly able to resolve DNS addresses. I
reinstalled 2.1.6 beta 4 and everything seems to be working (though I
have not rebooted yet.<br>

I'm running Windows 7 Home with a realtek wireless card accessing a
linksys wireless router.<br>
