<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>i just wanted to share my experience. I
tried to install Shrew Soft 2.1.7 on my Win 7 64bit, but it failed<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>with “Error 0x8004a029 – couldn’t
install network component”. After some googleing I found out that<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>too many network filters may cause the
problem. I had a VPN Software from AVM Fritz!Box installed.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I deinstalled that one, along with all my
other VPN clients (cisco and openvpn) and restarted my PC.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>After this I managed to avoid the first
error, but a new one popped up at the same installation step:<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>“iphlpsvc.dll currently holds the
lock, try again later”<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I already had the feeling that this must be
the shitty comodo firewall Ive got on my system. After<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>I disabled and exited that one the
installation went smoothly.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US><o:p> </o:p></span></p>
<p class=MsoNormal><span lang=EN-US>Hope this helps if anybody runs into similar
problems.<o:p></o:p></span></p>
