<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:#1F497D">Normally everything is working fine with Shrew, but the problem is, that sometimes the VPN-connection is lost, and for the user it looks like
that the connection is still there.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:#1F497D">So the users thinks, there is a problem with a service behind the tunnel (delivered by another other department than me ;)) and address their
complaint to them.</span></p>
<p class="MsoNormal"><span lang="EN-US" style="font-size:11.0pt; font-family:"Calibri","sans-serif"; color:#1F497D">It would be helpful if Shrew shows immediately a disconnect-status when the servers are no longer reachable thru the tunnel.</span></p>

connection is established but there may be a problem with routing / tunneling. See also the discussion "Unable to access external sites while VPN is connected" in this mailing list.
