I have thought about it a few times, but that was back in the day when
creating PBI's was quite a chore to create and maintain. A FreeBSD port
for the Shrew Soft VPN Client already exists, but its horribly outdated ...

If I remember correctly, creating a PBI for an existing port became much
easier at some point. I'm just not sure how hard it would be to handle
dependencies, especially since 2.1.x uses an antiquated version of Qt.
The head branch ( 2.2.x ) has newer Qt4 based components which is much
more common these days.
