[vpn-devel] 2.2.0 Release install loop

Brian,
I wish I had a good answer for you. I stepped through installing the
same version sequence but didn't have a reboot once. A reboot usually
means that a component didn't unload correctly during uninstall. More
specifically, this is usually related to a buggy suspend/resume or a
network driver incompatibility with another network driver that caused a
resource to not be released correctly when the shrew soft installer
tried to unload components before installing new ones. But I honestly
have no idea why the install process would loop endlessly.
I wonder if a boot into safe mode would have resolved the issue. That
may have broken the cycle and allowed the install to continue. Did you
happen to try that?
