All,
I am pleased to announce the Shrew Soft VPN Client 2.0.1 Beta 1
Release is now available for download. Not only does this mark the first
beta release that includes native AMD64 Windows XP operating system
support, but also the first to support the FreeBSD, NetBSD and Linux
based operating systems. In the spirit of open source, all source code
for these platforms is now available under a liberal OSI approved license.

Building the software for a unix target is not that difficult. I
have put together a FreeBSD port as well as a NetBSD package source
port. If anyone would like to step up to maintain packages for any of
the Linux distributions, please contact me directly. I just don't know
enough about the Linux distributions to tackle this at the moment.
Thanks,
-Matthew
