 From your ipconfig output, I suspect that there is a compatibility 
problem with your USB Ethernet adapter. I have only run tests with 
Ethernet and standard Wifi adapters but not with USB Wifi adapters.

Out of curiosity, does the client work for you if you disable the USB 
adapter and use the wired adapter instead?

The adapter will never get to an active state until it completes phase1 
negotiations.
