[vpn-help] shrew 2.1.6 beta-2 gives iked error upon login and doesn't work [win 7 64-bit with Cisco IPSec]

Here is the situation:
Shrew 2.1.5 release - results in frequent BSOD
Shrew 2.2.1 alpha-9, comparatively more stable but still BSOD
Shrew 2.1.6 beta-1, stable so far
Shrew 2.1.6 beta-2, iked.exe errors when attempting to login. I don't know what was changed in beta-2 for ike, but win7 64-bit isn't happy with the change.
