Hi Michael,

Please use one of the 2.1.5 release candidates. Several fixes have been 
added to allow the software to compile on newer Linux systems. It would 
appear that you are getting bit by the incompatibility with bison 2.4 
and is no longer an issue with 2.1.5 ( or 2.2.x ) builds.
