Hi Matthew,

Both you and another list member, Shaun, have been extremely generous with
your time.  I'm tantalisingly close to getting Shrew 2.1.5 beta up and
running, but not quite there.  Managed to compile the source code with
CMake.  Make also worked fine.  I then departed ever so slightly from thee
READ me file and used Checkinstall rather than just install as advised in an
Ubuntu HowTo.

At the end of that process I got the following in the log associated with
that process:


  (Reading database ... 92469 files and directories currently installed.)

Preparing to replace ike 2.1.0+dfsg-1 (using
.../ike/ike_20090507-1_i386.deb) ...

* Stopping Shrew Soft IKE daemon...

...done.

Unpacking replacement ike ...

I tested the Shrew Client, but it is still 2.10.  Not sure what I need to do
next.  The only thing that occurs to me is to uninstall Shrew 2.10 first and
then try and run Checkinstall.  Would you concur?
