[Vpn-help] Cisco under windows 7 64bit

I recently upgraded from windows vista ultimate 64bit to windows 7 
ultimate 64bit (reinstalled)

previously i had no problems connecting to our office's Cisco PIX vpn.

but now using 2.1.5-rc-4 of the shrew vpn client, i cannot for the life 
of me get it to connect. I have done everything in the FAQ (which worked 
for me on vista) and nothing.

What i get from the VPN client is as follows (ip address of server 
changed..)

config loaded for site '1*.4*.2*.1*'
configuring client settings ...
attached to key daemon ...
peer configured
iskamp proposal configured
esp proposal configured
client configured
local id configured
pre-shared key configured
bringing up tunnel ...
negotiation timout occurred
tunnel disabled
detached from key daemon ...

any ideas? :)
