[vpn-help] Ubantu 10.10 , Unable to get Shrew Soft VPN Access Manager to work , Error : session terminated by gateway

I have just installed the latest version of Ubantu Ver 10.10 on VMPlayer @ Host OS WinXP, and also installed the latest version Shrew Soft VPN Access Manager (v.2.1.5) from Ubantu Software Manager.
My goal is to just have the Putty SSH client and the VPN running. Putty work fab , but I am having issues with the VPN client.

Once I imported the .pcf file from my widow’s machine, I was able to connect using the VPN but within less than a minute I get this error:

config loaded for site 'Clorox VPN.pcf'
attached to key daemon ...
peer configured
iskamp proposal configured
esp proposal configured
client configured
local id configured
remote id configured
pre-shared key configured
bringing up tunnel ...
network device configured
tunnel enabled
session terminated by gateway
tunnel disabled
detached from key daemon ...

I did some searing on the internet and found out that some one had a similar issue, using a diff version of Ubantu and possibily a diff fersion of SS VPN Client , but hereis what they suggested

So some one got this working by modifying the below 2 files , and alos a reboot.

/etc/sysctl.conf file
/etc/sysctl.d/10-network-security.conf


>From Values :

net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter=1
net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter=1

to

net.ipv4.conf.default.rp_filter=0
net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter=0

This did not fix my problem , Can someone help please.
