Hi Michael,

"gateway authentication error" usually means that the identity 
information or the pre-shared key exchanged between the Shrew client and 
the gateway doesn't match up.

If you can, export the Connection configuration from the Win7 machine 
and import it into Shrew on your MacBook.

If you can't export+import, then I'd first check to make sure the Pre 
Shared Key is correct in Shrew (Site Configuration, Authentication tab, 
Credentials tab).  Re-type it just to be sure.

If that doesn't work, look at the Local Identity tab. If the 
Identification Type is IP Address, check to see if your MacBook has a 
different IP address than what is listed.
