I got a mail from David G Millar that pointed at the same issue he was
having in Feb, and the thread also pointed at that link you included.
Thankfully, setting "net.ipv4.conf.all.rp_filter" to 0 fixed my issue.

Hi Brian,
You may want to look at this thread to see if it affects you, although
if you installed Shrew from a repository, the install process should
take care of it for you:

You can also generate a log file that we can look at using the
instructions here (remember to change your IPs/usernames):
