[vpn-help] Connecting to a network behind a router

Hi everybody,

I've setup an ipsec tunnel on a windows 7 (64bit) laptop to a Fritz!BOX (internal network 172.16.1.0/24)
using the ShrewSoft client (V2.2.2); a ping to connected devices in this net is OK.

The Fritz!BOX itself is connected to network (172.16.0.0/24) using another ipsec tunnel.

The problem is:
A ping or traceroute from the laptop to an ip-address in the network 172.16.0.0/24 fails.
The traceroute can't reach the first hop (172.16.1.1).

How do I have to configure the VPN client ? I already added these to networks in "policy" section.
