We've had similar issues with some of our users.
We've experienced mixed results with disabling the checkboxes under the Client tab in the profile configuration.

*         Enable Dead Peer Detection

*         Enable ISAKMP Failure Notifications

Subject: [vpn-help] intermittent log outs

Hello All,

I have a remote user that's having intermittent log outs seconds after the tunnel is enabled. It has to be some piece of software he's using because I had just used Windows Easy Transfer to move his account to a new laptop. It was transferred from a Dell to an HP. I uninstalled most of HP's bloatware and he's still having the issue. Is there software/drivers that are known to cause this issue?
For him so far I've tried:
Updating BIOS
Uninstalling/reinstalling Shrew Soft
Deleting and re-importing the configuration file
Checked the user account settings to verify they were the same as other users
Added our servers to his host file
Turned off the Shrew Soft Adapter
Stopped and restarted his Shrew Soft services
Verified he can ping our servers by IP address and by FQDN
Logged in as another user to verify it was his particular user account
Verified he's not using a proxy
Scanned for malware

The only ideas I have left are to try and use Wireshark and/or the trace utility that comes with Shrew Soft. Or to use selective startup and enable services one by one until I find the culprit.

Any help will be greatly appreciated!

Thanks
